Visit to Mimico Lodge

In 1983 Bro. Furlong was Initiated into Mimico Lodge.

On April 9, 2013 he returned....and he brought some friends with him.

11 members of West Gate accompanied Bro. Furlong on a visit to his mother lodge at the invitation his good friend Bro. Forrest who is the SW of Mimico Lodge.

Following some excellent work in the Lodge we retired to the banquet hall for refreshments.

My Loyal Brothers,

Thank you so much my brothers for your support last night as we visited my "Mother Lodge - Mimico Lodge 369". And although this visitation concept began as a small idea of visiting outside the District. It turned into something more magical as well as uplifting for me to once again walk the mosaic at the Renforth Temple. It has almost been three decades since I was there last as a Mason and sat in the West while gazing at the possibility of occupying the esteemed chair of Solomon. "Life is what happens when you are making other plans", these words from John Lennon proved that even our most concrete certainties in life are not always realized.

Thank you all for making last nights visitation something that will forever be burned not only into my memory, but also into the memories of those brethren who were once my teachers, mentors, brothers, and most of all my friends. I am very proud to call West Gate my "Home" now, and will forever support our Lodge, it's members, and the best damn bunch of guys that I will ever know. I am so very proud to share masonry with you all, and may the g.a.o.t.u grant you all success and prosperity in both your personal and professional endeavours.
