Tuesday, January 8 - Visit to Ionic Lodge
We're kicking off the New Year with a fraternal visit to Ionic Lodge for their Official Visit. Ionic is a busy lodge closely akin to West Gate.
Saturday, January 12 @ 10 AM to 2 PM - "West Gate Winter Fun"
The Emergent Meeting planned for January 12 has been cancelled. In its place West Gate will be hosting an informal get together with a movie, games and refreshments.
Thursday, January 24 - District Theatre Night
The District Theatre Night is taking place on Thursday, January 24, 2013 in support of Sick Kids Hospital. Cost is $20 which is a significant discount off the regular price. They would make a great gift and taking your loved ones to an evening at the theatre will always make you popular. Please contact Bro. SW for the tickets.

It is important to look to the future and resolve to set some goals for 2013. Here are some suggestions to consider.

2013 Resolutions
It is important to look to the future and resolve to set some goals for 2013. Here are some suggestions to consider.
- Attend every regular meeting. Although many things may appear to interfere take one night a month for yourself to meet with your brothers and support the lodge. It is a gift to yourself and isn't selfish.
- Learn a new piece of ritual work. Don't just recite it but understand its meaning so you can communicate it to the candidate during the degree. The Master will be glad to accommodate requests.
- Volunteer to be on a committee. The Lodge is always grateful when members step forward to relieve the workload on the officers.
- Assist the temple by volunteering to make small repairs and clean up. This reduces costs and makes you more informed about what is going on with the temple.
- As a Life Member choose to make a small donation to the Lodge. The Life Memberships stopped covering the Member's cost to the Lodge long ago while expenses have continued to rise.
